Hello Everyone. Okay, we recently purchased a 2005 Coupe. The radio system is an Infinity. I noticed, and I like, that it displays the radio station, the name of the artist and the song title. Well, it did for about a week. Now it displays the station name and that is it. What have I hit to make this change? Thanks, Tony

 

Never mind Guys! I think I have it figured out.

 

What happened / did you do? i've never heard anything like this??

I think only certain stations broadcast this..

 

I actually believe it is what the radio station is broadcasting. The radio was showing the radio station, artist and song name. Then it just started showing the radio station and the word 'roomful'. But, the other stations, that do brodcast the artist and station name, seem to be okay. So, I think it is just the broadcasting station. To verify I need to find someone else with a radio that does the same and see if they have the same display info. Thanks!

 

Yeah, that's what I thought. Not all Radios broadcast the artist / songname / radio name

 

Yeah, but I still have to check because this was the radio station I normally listen to and it did show the station name, the artist name and the name of the song for the 1st week I had the car.....and then all of a sudden it just went to showing the station name and instead of the artist and song title it shows room ful. So I still need to find someone in my area so I can verify that it is a change in the station broadcast. Confusing, huh?

 

Ummm...you weren't happening to be listening to John Mayer at the time, were you?

 

In a word, no.........but that might explain it if I had been!!

 

Sorry to have taken so long to get back to this. Well, it is something with my radio and only with this one station. We thought it might have been the signal the radio station was putting out but that is not the case. I have checked numerous other car radio that list the station and song details and it is fine. It is only on my radio. Once again, I am getting the station ID - 106.9 and then it shows Road..... and then it changes to Full... At times it will show Jack and .....

It is only doing this on the one station. The other stations are fine. I have looked at the manual for the Infinity radios but I cannot find any info on this. Can I do a reset on the radio in someway and see if that will clear this up?
