nav unit and ipod

i have used the search function for a while today, and i am sure it is on here, but for some reason I just cannot find it. Just bought a 2005 Roadster, and what can i say I love the car. I read that the nav radio has an aux input on the back. I want to hook up my ipod to it. i already have all the cables and adapters i would ever need to hook it up. What I was wondering is what special tools do i need to remove the factory nav radio, and do i need to take the complete councel out to do it. or does the radio just slide in and out? pics would be awesome. I dont care about control for the ipod just a line in. If someone helps me I would b more that willing to make a complete walkthrough with pictures so that it can be stickied (if it hasnt already been made).
