Default Roadster system, will this sound ok?

I have a 2005 Roadster. After talking with three different installers at three different shops, all are in agreement that there is just no room for a sub box in this car. There is a tiny bit of room in the trunk, but the top folds down in there and the fuel tank is between the trunk and the passenger compartment. There are two tiny spots behind the seats where the factory pseudo subs go with the factory infinity system, but the seat backs are tight against these spots and they are too shallow to hold any real sub.

So, the plan is to just go for a single set of components in the doors with plenty of power to them and hope for the best.

Head Unit: Blaupunkt Hamburg MP68
Components: Crossfire X6
Amp: Crossfire XP6004 bridged.

There is a slight possibility of fitting some 6.5" components behind the seats, but the installer thinks running more power to the X6's in the doors would be just as beneficial as using the other two channels for those.

I am open to opinions, the install is scheduled but I can still change my mind

Yeah, but if you put it in the trunk I think you will only be able to tell it's there slightly with the top up and not at all with the top down....and there's nowhere to put something like that up front

I think I've decided to put a pair of these Kicker 6.5" subs in the factory spots behind the seats.

I would only do it if I could mount it under the seat, or on panel behind the passenger seat. You're right, it would be wasted in the trunk...

Check out JL's new thin line subwoofer:

Something may work with having a tiny box made to go behind or under the seat and an amp behind or under the other seat.

That is cool. If you were doing a little more custom install than I am, you could put one of those in a very thin box between the two seats on the bulkhead...of course that's also a $500+ sub...

I am just hoping the two Kicker 6.5's in the factory sub spots will get me close to the output of a single 10 in a box...
