Got my new system installed this week
It sounds so much better than the stock system. In fact when we pulled the factory speakers out of the doors, the passenger side was blown
I went with a Blaupunkt Hamburg MP68. It has all the bluetooth integration I wanted, while staying somewhat true to the German heritage. It has some silver on it, at least, and the color of the illumination matches the dash lights pretty closely, and the red goes along with the emergency flasher button.

I went with Crossfire Audio FX 6 components in the doors and a pair of Kicker Comp V/T 6.5" subs in the factory locations. These things aren't going to win any SPL contests, but they do far more than anyone would imagine for their size.

A Crossfire Audio XP6004 amp is flush mounted in the trunk (my car is a roadster). When the top partition is closed, you would never know it's there.

I didn't buy the Crossfire audio stuff just because of the name, but it is pretty cool

I couldn't hold the camera in one hand and turn on the head unit with the other fast enough to get it all in before it began to scroll, but the head unit says 'Crossfire by Chrysler' when it turns on.

They fit, but the factory subs mount with an angled plate and actually angle in toward the center of the car, so I had to cut a couple of plastic pieces to hold them in place. But all in all, pretty nice fit. They also do not come with grills and kicker does not make any for them. However, where they are located, they are nicely protected and do not touch the seats, so it's really not necessary.
You have to remember that this is a 6.5" sub, so it's not going to boom like two 12's in the trunk
Excellent. Thanks for the review. Hope it really works out great.
It's looks pretty cool, but could you please post some daylight photos of the dash and front area of the car with the radio in it, etc?
Thx

Hi BHays, I just bought a Hamburg MP68... I have a few questions... was it hard to install... did you have to splice any wires? please let me know what I'm in for..
thank you,
josh
thank you,
josh
As long as you have the right wiring harness adapter, it should just plug right in. I am still really happy with my decision, I use the bluetooth every day.

Which is the right harness adapter?? I ordered the radio from cructhfield.. they are sending me a VW harness... (a VW harness for a Chrysler/MB is that right?) from the pic it looked like the wires need to be spliced into the existing harness... I really don't want to cut up the cars wire harness.. which harness did you buy??
Thank you again getting back to me..
Josh
