Default New antenna on Roadster

Hi everybody! My name is Riccardo and I just got a 2005 Roadster Limited Sapphire Metallic Blue!!!!
I am going to replace the original Infinity radio system with a new JVC KD-NX5000 and I would like to replace the whole original standard antenna with something different: do you have any suggestion?
I am new to this Forum and I live in Italy where it is very difficult to find parts and accessories for this beauty: please help me!!!

Hi Riccardo, welcome to the forum. Congrats on your new roadster. It must be a very rare car in Italy.

I have the short antenna (Antenna 16V) from CTD Germany. You can actually make it three different lengths. Click here for link

Thanks a lot guys! Yes, the car in Italy is pretty rare. About the antenna, I want to replace the whole thing (base and stick) not just the stick: is it possible?

I'm sure it can be done but why? Do you want one that totally retracts? I have not seen anyone here replace the whole thing.

Hi there! This is the story: at the car washer they broke the base of the original antenna ; they fixed it but it needs to be replaced; I should order it but it can take up to 4 weeks to get the original one from the Chrysler Official car dealer and I can't wait; so, I was wondering if there is one aftermarket.

Lightbulb Re: New antenna on Roadster

I just spoke Wayne at http://www.chryslerpartsdirect.com/

He told me that they will "drop-ship" via UPS or DHL to Italia.

To order, he would need your VIN and the exact part number you are looking for. He said the antenna base only, with 2 connectors on it (5139531AA) was $54 plus shipping. A very small box, and even going through Italian customs, you could have it in 1-2 weeks.

Maybe you could find someone on this forum willing to do the work from this end and pay them through PayPal?

Best of luck!

Guys, you are great! I spoke to the Italian Chrysler Official Dealer and when I told him that I was going to get the antenna from USA he found one antenna in one week for me; he didn't tell me the price, but now I know the price ;-) I'll keep you posted. Thanks again, anyway.
