New Stereo Setup
Keep in mind guys that the way this enclosure is installed, it requires no holes to be drilled. You simply remove your floor cover (really not even necessary to install) and it sits right in place. The unit rest on top of the black curved trim panels in the hatch and the two enclosures are held in place by the amp rack. It fits super snug and leaves no evidence of ever being installed once you remove it. No holes, no drilling no mods to the car!!!!
Now keep in mind that this thing will not blow the windows out, with booming bass like some 87 Olds Cutlass with 15” subs in the trunk, but if you want nice low end bass that the Crossfire is missing plus a KILLER SHOW STOPPING install, this is perfect. I have gotten more comments on this setup than I do the car. Every show or car meet I have been to, this thing draws a crowd!

I just bought the enclosure from a fellow forum member, I could not have made it myself for less and love the way it looks in person. I am running 2 10” Resonant Engineering Subs, with the Diamond D7 series amp. This should give the subs a little over 300 watts each. I am changing the factory head unit to the Alpine IDA-X001 ipod controller and leaving the factory Infinity amp to push the 6.5” Subs and Door Speakers. I put a cap on the door speakers to cut the bass down a bit and they sound ten times better than they did. It should all be wrapped up next week. I let you know how it sounds…

I was thinking about having one of my buddies wrap it in Carbon Fiber. Would look sick!
I was debating picking it up from you...then wrapping it in CF myself....but instead went performance... if you still have it in a few months you might have a buyer...

we can beat it, all we need to do is try...i mean turn the volume down.
[QUOTE=wild srt6]sill looking good...its been about 4 years now right...I remember seeing a post a few weeks after we finished the demo car
Actually that is a similar set up but not the same. Notice the subs in mine sit more "up and down" instead of leaning into the hatch.
I still have this baby sitting in the attic....waiting for some to take it home!!

. I ran the 8w6s in it and actually like the new Kicker Solo 8" that just came out. They would fit fine and handle a ton of power. If you would like, PM me your phone number and I will call you to discuss.

I have a RE SX 12 i wouldn't mind glassing in the car. I am tempted to sell it for 2 RE SE's, since they would sound better sealed up than SX's. I really don't think with that small of a cabin you would need more than 600 watts or so to fill it out nicely. And without upgrading the doors.
I have read some turtorials on glass interiors, but that newer box you have seems really challenging. The curves are 90 degrees to meet the amp. Any tips or info to search to help someone wanting to diy a enclosure similar to that? I was thinking of mounting a mono amp on one corner and a 2 channel on the other corner.
Great looking box and amp. I wouldn't doubt the compliments you get BLKFIN.
