Will this combination antenna work?
I recently had installed in my 2005 Roadster a Pioneer DEH-7000BT and a Sirius Connect Vehicle Tuner. Of course there is no appropriate location to place the Sirius antenna on a roadster - my sits in middle of dash close to the windshield.
I noticed that the new Chrysler Sebring/Dodge Avenger & the new Dodge Journey have a combination AM/FM & Sirius antenna mounted on the roof. That unit looks like it could replace the AM/FM antenna on the left rear fender and give a factory look to it. The Crossfire mast does fit this unit.
Now, my question - Will that combination antenna work with the after market Pioneer head unit & the after market Sirius tuner ???

A local audio tech told me that the factory unit Sirius radios use a different frequency antenna than the after market radios. Didn't seem to make sense to me. This tech was recommended by local 5 Star Chrysler dealer.
I know most audio techs are wrong when it comes to replacing Crossfire audio systems, so I thought I would check to see if I could get more knowledgable answers from the forum.
