gotta get some subs!!!
All of you guys that have subs, what works the best? I Can't decide 10's or12's, 1, or 2? I had two 12's in my totaled cobra, and was almost happy with the sound. I want something that will really shake you if you want it to. I have always used pioneer headunits. are there other choices that might match the interior, and sound the same? Any help is appreciated, chris

you can stay with the stock radio if you do this, it works very well.
I've got 2 12" audiobahn's with a 600 watt kenwood amp, i will be getting this box and dropping down to one 12 in the future.

I plan on changing out the head unit as well. Is it like the mach 460 systems like mustangs have? Do you go through the wall with the amp wires, or is there a place to run them already? thanks chris
You have to listen to these things - you can't go by what somebody tells you on a message board!
I didn't run a 12 and compare it to a 10. I had the Bass Link in another vehicle and liked it for it's tight solid sound and no shortage of loudness. The car is small. I like the Bass Link (10" with built-in 200w amp) - it is plenty loud when I want it to be.
I ran the wire over the wall in the corner with black conduit covering the wires. I didn't want to alter the interior panels so if I choose to sell the car (can't imagine that) it will be nice and clean and the speaker can come out without leaving any trace.

My set up uses two 10” subs. I had one 8W7 in one of the many set ups I have built over the years. See this link for all the photos!

what can i expect from a single 10, or 12, in a truckbox? That seems to be what I am looking at. Wether I ask here or at the local shop, I would hope to get some feedback here. What kind of speaker, what kind of amp. I had 2 hollywood 12, running off of a 700w amp. receiver was a poineer. I realize performance is suppossed to increase with price. What will distort your vision in one of these cars. Chris
I need to know if one 12, or one 10, will do it. I want to make peoples eyes vibrate if I so chose to. I have been looking at boxes, and still confused. I want something tight, but a ported box would be louder, from what I have read. Best bang, for minimal space, and price. I really can't decide on anything looking on the internet. thanks, chris

i have a 10" alpine sub in the wickedcas enclosure that has already been linked in this thread with an alpine amp. i think it sounds great. i personally like my bass tight. and the box doesnt use any additional space in the trunk, which is great, giving it a really clean look. although its very misleading when you hear the sub from the outside with the windows up. it doesnt sound like too much until you're sitting inside and itll shake your scalp. its more than enough for the cabin space. hits much harder and tighter than a powered sub, which i also had installed prior to the sub/amp configuration. but the best thing is to find something that you like. just my opinion.
