I hate flashy headunits that are all chromed out /// look like it came from an alien planet..

Ugly IMO.. but just IMO!

 

lmao, other than the **** on it i do not see where it is "all chromed out" what ever that is.

Maybe I should go with an old am radio instead like you pimp in your ride.

 

i am a big fan of higher quality head units like pioneer, alpine, eclipse, kenwood. I like head units which have ability to expand and add modules for like bluetooth, ipod. I want something with more than a 3 band equalizer to only adjust bass, mid, treb that is like a stock cd player. Try to find something that is expandable, better equalizer,

i had looked at that one but it does not light up in green to match the interior of the car. it is really nice though.

as for kenwood and pioneer i am not a big fan of those. i may just go with a blaupunkt, it is really hard to find one that looks good in our interiors.

 

you are correct on that fact. Pick one that looks nice but won't do all the features or pick one that is packed with features but more simple. Green lighting is hard to find on radios now days. i use a panasonic cq-c8405u and have been very happy with the looks and performance.

I love my carputer i had in my acura and would love to have access to the obd-2 ports and read the info of my car on the fly, navigate through all my music, videos and other crap. access to web, and everything else you can have. I did not want to go with a double din since it would cost lots of money to fabricate it. I went with a single din flip out and i have never been a fan of flip out but for the price i paid on this unit and the ease to go back to stock i could not resist.

i paid a lot less than $415, and i already have a dc-dc power supply and a carputer. here is my old car with the setup, i will take some pictures of my current setup with the panasonic stereo, along with bluetooth and ipod.

here are some pics of my current setup and i will move it over to my girls car once i get my carputer setup. already purchased the screen now looking at getting a system together for audio since i will have no head unit.

 

 

i have an unlimited pass per month to get my car washed lol and since they are throwing salt and the roads are a mess i have been going everyday lol. I pay $36 a month and get all the carwashes drivethru, along with free vacuum.
