Magical bass loss?
So, the other day I was in my car and my music just didn't sound..the same. It really sounds like my subwoofers, and just bass in general, were neutered.
I do have an aftermarket receiver, and the capacitors for the door speakers, but this definitely does not sound right, and didn't sound like this after I installed the receiver or capacitors.
Could it be something with the amp? It doesn't sound like any speakers are blown.

You might have blown a fuse in the amp.

I'll maybe try checking out the amp today and see if I can find a blown fuse. Thanks for the insight!
Okay, now here's a silly question:
My assumption is that the fuse is located in the amp itself, rather than in the fuse box, is that correct? This would be my first time accessing the factory amp.
Anyone know what fuses are used by chance?
Thanks!

My head unit does not have this type of setting, and I reset it to factory defaults in the hopes that I messed something up, but still no dice..

CrookedView-what happens if you turn up the bass values/Loudness controls.
max:
I have them turned up - if I turn the volume up to a higher level it just sounds like crap, but not like the speakers are blown. Used to sound amazing at higher volumes, but no longer.

If you still have the OEM Infinity, stick it back in to see if it sounds the way it used to. That might isolate the problem to either the OEM (Crossfire) power amp or to your new headunit's amp section.
