Problems with keyless entry
My keyless entry does not work. I had the remote tested at a auto supply and they said it sends
the signal and the battery is up. It must be in the car. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi Blackie
Below your post you will see one on the panic button. I believe after much research they may be two ends of the same problem. Here are my comments so you can see why I think that:
What I thought was a simple problem -- panic button not working has amazed me. I am glad it is being done under warranty. The central locking pump module (common to both problems) in the rear right and the SKREEM and the bus in the rear left was replaced and then the fun started. The air bag light and one other light is now on. They are now going to replace the Boby Control Module and have checked all the wiring (common to both problems).
Potential causes for the door locks:
1. Central Airlock Module (CAM) inop 2. Bent air line 3. Electric short in the system 4. electro/mechanical failure in the lock or system after the CAM. 5. others
There was a post some time back on the repair/service manual. I believe it was/is a sticky under Crossfire general info. Down load the PDF and take a look at this; this is what the dealers use to track the system down. It is very easy to use. Huge thanks to the person who posted it. I have the paper version also and the electronic version is MUCH easier to use.
If your car is under warranty don't screw with it let the dealer deal with it. If it is not under warranty, by reading the service manual you can decide if you want to or have the capability to deal with it. Does the manual key work? Have you done any work in the trunk, door panels or under the hood? Upgraded the radio system? Is it coming out of winter storage or is this your daily driver? How long have you had the car? Are you in the rain season? If the car is new to you go to a Chrysler dealer and ask for a VIP report to see if this problem has been worked on in the last 24 months. If all else fails use the manual lock if you can. Good luck.
