Hey guys just wanted to give an update on my car audio project and my plans. i am not completed just about half way through, I should have it close to done by wednesday and will take more pics.

Right now i have a Pioneer Premier deh-p880prs head unit, focal 165k2p in the doors, and a jl audio 450/4 v2 to run the focals. i have a mini kinetik battery 800 in the rear and a 1800 in the front for once i have the full system in to support the additional draw and 2 runs of 1/0 gauge for power and ground. I already have HID to reduce the draw from the alternator and battery so that should help cut down on dimming with stock halogens. I have another project where i am retrofitting acura tl bixenon projectors into the stock housing.

 

0/1 awg for a 450/4? Or are you planning to run a 1000/1 later or something? How are you using the amp? Bi-amping the comp set? 75 to the tweets and 150 to the mids, or 150 to the comp set as a whole and 75 to some rear speakers?

Sorry I haven't been in the stereo game for a while so if I'm missing something obvious (75 to the comps and 300 bridged to a sub later?) it's just that I haven't seen the 450/4 used much before.

It sounds like it'll be a pretty nice system.

yeah 1/0 for a 450/4 would be over kill you are correct i have some other plans hopefully it will be all done wednesday, well about 85% done.
