Kenwood KDC-x993 head unit installed
I just installed my kenwood head unit.
Sounds great. Very good buy..
I have bluetooh/USB/AUX etc.
I integrated the mic into the light fixture for a factory look.

Thanks for the compliments.
GVFire, Its a great unit. You can change colors on both sides of the receiver. Its pretty cool.
I actually did the user interface and matched it to the color of the gauges. The factory lime green.
Blue tooh is pretty good especially since my phone is blue tooth 1.0.. If you have a newer phone it works even better. you can send music from it too.
The unit sounds great with stock but if you have additions it is all the much better. Their is so many different functions too. customizable EQ's, it even has a simulator for car environments and voice tagging etc.. Its good stuff.
Definately a good buy.

do you have the base model? From what I've read here that one has no factory amp. I'm just trying to figure out all of the stuff I'll need for the radio to sound it's best with the factory amp. I saw several posts in the forum saying the inputs on the harness were low level inputs into the factory amp so you might want to use pre-amps.
But if yours sounds great maybe there's no need!
Thanks!

I have the limited model crossfire. Came with the infinity system.
When it was installed all they used was a European harness. The unit sounds great. I don't have any distortion or anything like that.
Although I may do some upgrades in the future, right now the stock system is ok.
Most folks think I already have a aftermarket system and I just tell them its all factory except for the head unit.
Hmm, maybe I am missing something but if it could sound better out of the infinity system I'd like to know how.

Hey solnyc,
I got my unit installed. I used the front Pre-Outs on the deck for the front speakers and the sub output for the back speakers. I wired everything through the factory amp. I'm planning on adding new post with the wireing diagram because no one really had the info on what wires were for what speakers on the amp. But I documented it so others won't go through what I did.
BTW, the AVX77 is awesome! It works great with my iphone and bluetooth. I also hooked up a backup camera to it (took me forever to run the wireing!).
