Default Stock Speaker Wire and Connectors (+) (-) ?

Hi,

I am new to the forum and am impressed with this site and with many of owners vehicles.

I need to identify which are the Positive and Negative connections for all the Stock Speakers. The front door Tweeters, have 1 Green wire connected and 1 Black wire connected. The Front Speakers have 1 Red wire connected and 1 Black wire connected. The Dual Voice Coil Subs have 1 Red Wire and 1 Black wire connected on one side, and the other Dual side has 1 Green wire and 1 Grey wire connected.

I am installing a 4 channel amp. I will use 1 channel for each Front Speaker and Tweeter pair. Then I will bridge the other 2 channels left, to use to connect both of the Dual Coil Subs.

I appreciate the time and help of anyone who replies and I also thank you in advance!

Is there a way I can double check that to be sure?

Yeah, if the wires are live connect them to a voltmeter, digital VM's will say + or - and analog VM's will send the needle forward (+) or backwards (-).

will the subs work if they are connected improperly? Mine are all plugged up and tucked away at this point. I tried seeing which wires pushed positive and neg with a voltometer but when I plugged it up, it didn't seem to push much sound that way.

Now I see that positive terminals on the stock speaker are next to each other (i guess) and the replacement speakers are plus and minus next to each other. Has anyone else discovered that you need to re arrange the wiring in order to get the subs powered properly?

Never mind, these are colored wires coming from the AMP. The wires we are asking about are coming from the connectors that plug up to the stock wiring.
