I bought the radio release keys for my stock infinity radio and was able to remove it easily, but I cannot seem to figure out how to remove the release keys and put the radio back in. The radio slides back in with no issues, but I cannot get the release keys out. What am I doing wrong?

 

while the radio is out get a good grip on the body and jerk them out. then slide the radio back into the car

 

There are blue tabs on the sides of the radio. Push those in while you are pulling the keys out. Those tabs hold and release the keys.

 

there must be a difference between the harmon kardon and infinity radios. no tabs on mine. sorry for the misinformation

check that!! just looked at my spare radio and it also has tabs but they are silver!! it never ceases to amaze me all the little things that can be learned on here from everyone!

 

I know that the problem has been solved, I have photos of the key removal latch. So for the record here they are.

 

Thanks everyone for the quick and accurate advice. I was finally able get those suckers out. I had to use a pair of plyers though. Nearly punched myself in the face from the recoil.
