Radio turns itself on when car is started
I apologize in advance if this question has been answered before. I did a cursory search and didn't find an answer, so here goes.
My Crossfire is my daily driver and, believe it or not, oftentimes sits idle all weekend. Twice now when I've gone to start the car on Monday morning, my factory radio turns on. I never leave it on when I shut the car off on Friday, so I am wondering if this is an indication that my OEM battery is failing, or if someone is sneaking into my car on weekends and turning on the radio just to mess with me.
The car is about to be sent to Florida with my daughter for the winter and I don't want to lend her a car with a weak battery. But I don't want to replace it either if it still have some life left in it. I've had no other indications of battery problems like those I've read about here.
Anyone else have this problem?

The original battery is noted for doing crazy things to the electronics on the car or, in my case, no signs at all and just giving out. (I pulled into the gas station, filled 'er up the day before we were heading to the Tail of the Dragon, went to start her and the battery was dead as a door nail.) You probably want to err on the side of caution and just get a new battery. You will probably rest more easy knowing that your daughter has a reliable battery.
