Default Factory battery causing subwoofer distortion?

Hi all,

I have the original (white) battery in my 2005 Base coupe and two 10" subwoofers in my trunk.

Just recently (last 4-5 days), my subs have been sounding a lot louder than usual, and occasionally distorted. It started with a loose RCA cable in my amp (fixed by zip tying the loose cable to the RCA next to it). Then I looked at my battery terminal, and the negative one was horribly corroded. (This affected my ability to start my car on two different occasions; it would just click but not start). I went out and bought one of those $3 terminal cleaners that comes with some wire brushes, and I thoroughly cleaned the terminal/clamp.

Car starts fine (when proper contact is made with the negative terminal), cranks normal, but when I roll up my windows the passenger side goes up faster than the driver's side, and that never used to happen.

Spoiler does NOT deploy on start, and the volt meter on my capacitor reads 12.5-14 volts depending.

Does this sound like it could be a battery issue? Dead cell? I'm going to have my amp's settings checked by the guy that installed them to see if that's the problem. But I figured i'd pose this question anyway.

Thanks,
Eric
