i just ordered a go pro hero 2 motorsports yesterday so it should be here soon to check out. if anyone else wants to try one let me know, i do not have all the pricing together for the other versions yet but we are working on it.

 

Do they have the capability to be remotely turned on and off, like at the track when your all belted in and want to switch them on from inside without gettting out to set them. Saves a lot of stress when you dont wanna get flustered before a run and your in the staging lanes or on the grid getting ready to go.????????????Woody

 

Woody, you can not only turn the thing on/off from inside the car, with the new add on modules, you can stream the data to any device capable, no more cables and BS

 

Would like to know how much it cost and how long it takes to get it.

 

The new Hero2 really has some great improvements. Mine is on the way from GoPro to add to my original Hero. Love these things, they are great for everything.

 

Fair enough, I just bought 2 really nice mounts for in the car ($25 total) and mount my Sony 1080P 60FPS camera I already use all the time to them and have gotten some fantastic video, if I was on a bike, skis, or something less protected than a car, I would get one. But some of the videos I have seen from them mounted outside the car, faily low, have been some of the coolest videos out there. Matt, post some cool vids from the strip when the weather turns...

 

I took this one right after I bought my first one. Stick 3M mount to the license plate frame. Not a bad video (if you watch it in HQ). Don't forget your speakers/headphones.

I have a Hero HD and it,s awesome , i need to save some more quan before going for the next gen hero2 ,,

 

as of right now we can get a few bucks off these individually, should we do a group buy on them in which i can further discount them? how many guys are interested?

I would be interested in the Hero 2 outdoor, if it were at a good price.

 

Fun part about GoPro, everyone sells them at the same price. They are regulated quite well by GoPro so that the same package will go for the same price from anywhere you buy it brand new.

I'm sure if you buy some other things from Rob at the same time he may be able to hook you up with a bit of a discount on the whole purchase, but not sure about just a GoPro

 

Love my HERO2, but I've had it only a month and don't know anything about controlling it remotely.

Mine is just a normal camera, no remote anything, just old school HD vids
