Default Spoiler acting strange

just purchased a 04 xfire with infinity system replaced rear subs and added flip out unit . had best buy install head unit when i got it back sounded amazing but as i took off the spoiler popped up, odd because i have it set down and the red light was blinking . spoiler now will only go down when key is on acc. soon as car is started i get the spoiler popping up ? the " pro installer" cant figure it out he used a scosche harness for merc's . should he be using a different harness or is he missing something obvious some of you have come across ? any help would be appreciated from a newbie

First thing you must rule out is that your battery is going bad. Once confirmed you have a good battery, then proceed to other diagnoses. Have your battery tested by known-good shop.

Low system voltage will cause the spoiler to deploy on its own. You may be dropping below the voltage threshold when cranking.

Still betting it's the battery or connections!

Did problems start after radio install. Possible your head unit is not wired correctly.

Scosche VW01B, this is the harness that I used. I haven't had any problems. I know it says its for a VW but it fits our cars too.

Forgot to add this earlier, I went to best buy when I was switching to an after market radio. They didn't have it, I think I got it at walmart, you might want to call around before you head to best buy.

Just leave the deck unplugged completely and start the car. You dont need to put the stocker back in to test the theory.

Well then I personally would tripple check that the wires are met properly. Power to Power, Ground to Ground, FL to FL etc.

What harness did you end up getting? How are the wires from the back of the deck met with the wires of the harness? Crimp connectors?
