Just got myself a 2006 Crossfire coupe. I have the removal tools from crutchfield and cant get to seem the left side tool to lock in. Any advice on what to attempt next? Better tools? Drill out the tool hole? Help!

Keep trying, that is the only way your going to get that head out. I don't even know if taking the dash apart with the HVAC and switches panel will work. Good luck, this one looks like a hard one.

Well after consulting with my mechanic consultant, I opted to dremmel though the faceplate and pull the retaining clip with a screwdriver. All is well except for the old stereo . Apparently, after removing the stereo, I could see that the retaining mechanism was broken to is was the only way....
