Annoying issue: Car doesn't always recognize key fob.
Not all the time, but about once a week I'll walk to my car, press the unlock button, and nothing. This happens on a weekly basis for reasons I can't figure out. So I have to manually unlock the door, start the car and let the system recognize the key fob again. I've tried a search but nothing came up. The batteries are fresh, so that's not it, and the key fob is tight, so I doubt the batteries are loose in there.
What could be the issue?

have you tried another set of batteries to make sure the "fresh" ones you picked up are good?
the reason i ask is that there are a lot of china knock off batteries floating around on ebay. if ya got it from a local reputable store then i wouldnt be as suspect. we have them too but unless you wanted soemthing else in the box the shipping sometimes outweighes the price of the batteries.

What you're describing sounds like the battery contact solder joint to the rest of the board is failing. The next time you have the issue, press and hold the button while looking in the "IR" window to see if you see a little red led flash. If not and it has new batteries, chances are good that's the issue. The bad news is you can't fix it without cracking open the fob but the good news is it's a great chance to fix everything if the fob is worn out.
Take care
Take care
Fresh batteries from Target, so nothing from eBay. Guess ill use my other fob for a week and see if the issues till happens.
