Default Difference in Q1 and Q3 Amplifiers??

Like a complete moron, I accidentally left the passenger window down on my car one night, and it rained, soaking the entire passenger side floor and ruining my amplifier. I have looked at finding another amp, and finally came across one for the fraction of the dealer's quote of about $2100. However, the amp that I am looking to purchase has a sticker that says "Q3" with part number of A1938200489, and the one in my '07 limited coupe says "Q1" with a part number A1938200789. Would it be okay for me to use the Q3 amp in place of my Q1 amp? Based on outward appearance, I would think it would work, but I want to be sure before I spend money on it. I'm sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere. I looked, but found nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

if you look on Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market, you will see that almost all listed are "AMPLIFIER,A1938200289", yet another part number.

And even further, the 2005 part manual lists :
05101690AA 1 P, S, X 29 EGX, EGZ DED, DGJ,DGU AMPLIFIER

Now for the GOOD NEWS :
AMPLIFIER. Antenna; Antenna and Related Items. Fits: CHRYSLER (2004-2008), DODGE (2013), . # 05101690AA

lists the amplifier for $41.25 !!!! ( not sure I can believe that )

I agree. Given the prices of these amps I've seen elsewhere, I'm pretty skeptical of that $41.25 price tag. This is turning into a major headache. I've scoured the internet for the past several hours trying to find anything that would tell me a difference between the Q1, Q2, or Q3 versions of these parts. I can't imagine them not working when the infinity sound system remained, at least as I understand it, the same over the course of crossfire production. Do you think it would be worth it to try it? Thanks again for any help or advice.

I'd give the $41 amp a try, I'm quite sure however that they will say "out of stock" or it will be on continual back order ......

( the car-part prices were $65 to $275, where they don't say "$call" )

I looked into it a bit more, and the $41.25 was for an antenna assembly of some sort. I searched through the parts to find an amplifier and sure enough, it's right here for $1875.00.

AMPLIFIER. Audio. Speakers, Amplifier, and Related Items. CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE (2004 - 2008) # 05189332AA, 05104860AA, 05136097AA

It shows that the part fits all years of the crossfire, so I think that's the proof I needed. I'll probably go ahead and try this amp I found on ebay and hope it works. It's a ninth of the cost of the one above, so I figure it's worth a shot.

OK. I have had better luck with the car-part folks than I have had with the Ebay folks.
( at least you can call them and discuss part #'s etc and shipping before committing )

This one in particular has been very nice to deal with : http://www.tompkinsvilleautosalvage.com/

Those stickers generally are production or quarter dates and have no bearing on compatibility. As for the difference in part numbers, they may have different settigns for accoustics between the coupe and roadster or it may be that they superseded the older part number because of a production change or a part being made by a different manufacturer.

Either will work and you may even want to look at the ones in the SLKs as they may use the same one as well and that part number is A 170 820 06 89.

Good luck
