Default Pioneer Head Unit Subs Won't Work

Hi I'm new to the forums. My first question is how do I get the rear speakers to work with my new Pioneer. They worked fine with the stock stereo. My stereo plugs in via RCA and has spots for Front, Rear, and Subs. The subs are plugged into rear right now and no sound will come out whatsoever. I tried balancing the sound all the way to the back and no sound is made. I don't know what the problem is. Should I plug them in to the sub spots instead?

Update: I took it out and found out that the wires that are for the subs aren't connected in the right spots for my harness. I can either change the connectors in the harness (I have no idea how. Or go around the harness and wire the subs manually.
