Default Mechanical Issues

Hi,
As a new Crossfire owner, can anyone in the group tell me what, if any, mechanical problems these vehicles are prone to .. I have been hearing and reading about " the mechanical issues " these cars have .. I have always found with past vehicles, no matter what the make, as long as you maintain them properly, mechanical issues are minimal .. Any heads up from long time owners would be appreciated ... thaanx **** in RDU .. have a 2005 Roadster Convertible ...

Yea, set aside the first few days of October and come to Fontana Lodge with us, you will learn more about that car in a weekend than you would think possible.

What I would do if I were you:

Search "Sticky Key" here on the forum, print the procedure and DO IT TODAY.

Order a spare Crank Position Sensor and keep it in the trunk - get this one:
https://www.germanautosupply.com/sto...sensor-95.html
(The website will say that it does not fit the Crossfire - but it does. I'm carrying my second spare right now.)

Beware that an old or older battery can really cause odd issues. If the battery is over four years old, either replace it now or at least keep in mind that all sorts of weird stuff can start happening only because of a flaky battery. (Shop labor is $90 or so an hour, don't waste a lot of money on diagnostics when the battery is old.)
