Does anyone know if I can replace the 2 rear subs with 2 regular speakers that have bass & still be able to use the existing wires & factory amp?

 

I don't believe that will work the subs in the rear are dual voice coil and any speaker placed there will only produce bass. I wound up replacing them with Earthquake SWS 6.5's they are a shallow mount sub that will fit in the stock brackets wit a little modification. The drawback to that is you will also have to bypass the factory amp and use an aftermarket amp to get enough power to drive them properly. If you search here on the forum you will find multiple threads regarding the rear subs and if I remember correctly there is a reference somewhere to a supplier for replacement surrounds for the factory subs which may be all you need to get them functioning properly again.
