There are no rear speakers (subs?)in my 2006 limited. I believe they were previously stolen. I found this out when we took the car in because the rear subs "weren't working." Part of our purchase contract was that the stereo system was fully functioning. My dealer claims that while the car is wired for rear speakers, some models came without them, ours being one. I say baloney. Who is right?

Some Crossfires came without speakers and they were the Base model, all Limiteds came with rear speakers.

If they give you problem, Pull down the amp shelf and ask why there is there a amp if it didn't come with rear speakers.

 

Thanks. I'm getting a lot out of the dealer already, I'm not sure if I'll pursue this. I'd like to replace the aftermarket radio with the stock, (for looks) and do the biggest bang stereo mod.
Anybody have an idea of the value of a stock head unit? Subs? I found a wreck to plunder if I know what prices to ask for

 

You better make sure the only thing missing is the speakers before you give up on the dealer. Hook up a speaker and make sure the rest is working.

 

The aftermarket radio works with the door speakers, but too much bass as reported, and of course no rear sound.
Can't tell what brand the aftermarket head is, as the logo has been removed.
