New HU with DAB - A few questions
I've bought a DAB HU for my Crossfire and I am wondering if anyone has fitted a DAB system to a Crossfire before?
Is it a big job?
What components do I need? (Harness adapters etc) The HU is a Kenwood unit.
Any help in advance would be great.

I had to do a search on "DAB Audio" to see what you meant. I also assume Hampshire is in UK, correct? So DAB is Digital Audio Broadcasting which I think is similar to HD Radio in the US.
I also assume it really shouldn't matter as long as the HU (Head Unit) is a standard single Din. Just read through several of the long threads about replacing the radio, and you will get tons of good (sometimes conflicting opinions) advice. The VW/Mercedes wiring adapters work well, just double check the yellow/red wires, some harnesses swap the colors, so match the function, not the color.
Also the Crossfire only has 1 pair of outputs, there is no fader function, so the replacement radio would typically only connect the "front" wires to the factory harness, and you set the balance to the front and ignore it. What model Kenwood is it?

pioneer4x4 thanks for getting back to me...
I forget that the majority of members are US based and that HD Radio is in place as opposed to DAB over there! and yes, Hampshire in the South of England.
The Kenwood is this one:
DAB ? KDC-BT39DAB Features ? Kenwood UK
Where is good to mount a DAB antenna? Where is the Crossfire's normal antenna?

I'm debating replacing the speakers with improved versions... What sizes are the front door speakers and the rear subs?
