ipod in factory navigation headunit
I just took delivery of my 05 Roadster (grey, vanilla interior.) Too bad the weather here in Idaho is so bad right now I wont take it out of the garage.
I have read on the forum that the Aux/CD changer input is disabled on the factory headunit. Is this also true of the headunit with navigation? The navigation manual talks about how to operate it with a changer, so it seems that it would be active. If so, how would I wire it to attach the ipod?
Thanks for the help.

Someone said they bought this unit (click here)
It should work because your Nav head unit has the CD changer controls. The stock stereo can not control a CD changer.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I too am looking for an ipod interface for the NAV radio. But so far no luck. The unit is actually a Becker BE6811 but the becker auto sound board hasn't been any help identifying CDC which would work with the unit. More troubling is the fact that units like the Monster iCruise or USA Tech stop at 1998 for MB models. It appeats that after 98 that Becker started monkeying around with the unilink data bus between head units and CDC's making many aftermarket units inoperable. If the XF Infinity is of the same ilk, then ipod interface may never show up. First thing about this GERMAMERICAN car I don't like. :-(
Anyway, I will keep looking and possibly make my own ipod interface once the 6 disc CD changer from Mopar is available for analysis. Let me know if you find anything that works with your radio.
Thanks
