Kicker 43CWRT672
with kicker amp KXA400.4

You need to trim the housing around the subs.

Same here. When certain bass hits do your speakers crack. Like the plastic is doing it. I have my amp half up and kenwood head unit at 27. Thanks for help

I contacted Kicker prior to making the purchases.

They suggested the amp and speakers for max performance. I have a roadster and you can’t hear the music (top down) with the factory setup.

when i spoke to the tech, he had told me to wire the subs in series (see image). You only use 2 of the 4 wires plugged into the existing subs from the factory amp.

Wire the component speakers to the left and right channels of amp 1.
Use this amplifier with the Comp RT voice coils wired in series to each channel of amp 2. https://www.kicker.com/kxa4004-4-channel-amplifier

these are the other components that make up my system.
Kicker 44KSS6504 (4ohm)
kenwood head unit DNX 711 double din.

The sub images below are from another meme era post. I included them because it’s how I installed mine.

Kudos to the forum member that took the time to post these images originally.

If any any of this works for you, please all of us know that all, some or none of this worked for your setup.

Im asking after the install when certain low bass hits does your speaker make a cracking noise from the bass hitting the plastic. It almost sounds like the speaker sounds blown. Thanks

On radio what’s your bass level at. Do you have loudness up to max and sub woofer control to the max.

I crank it
no rattle

I have to turn it down. The subs blasting at kidney location means more stops

Super long delay in this but over the summer I experienced a cracking sound when pushing. a lot of bass through subs. Happened 2 or 3 times.

I dialled down the gain on the amp and problem has been solved.

Yes you can use the factory amp but if you’re going to the trouble make it worth your while and improve the sound quality

I took lots of images of the swap. Let me know if you need specific details.

if installing new subs kicker subs in the back, the spacer will be required.

take your time. It’s an easy project. Takes time, patience and best to remove passenger seat for easier access
