I placed my order the other day and it says it's been cancelled.

Any ideas?

A Double DIN radio held in place with two screws? It looks a bit dodgy to me.
This needs a rethink methinks.

What’s your concern? That I accelerate so quickly that the two screws break and the radio slides out?

I think the two screws are adequate if they are secure in the places where they are screwed into. What exactly are they screwed into? I am only asking because I am curious, not because I want to mount one or are building/making one. Just pure unadulterated curiosity the mount is tight and non movable (vibration). Thanks, looks good from here in your pictures! Of course, given the screw heads do not interfere with the radio insertion/mounting? Good luck with your install!

It is your project, so who am I to critique it. Forget I even mentioned it.

No offense - your input is highly appreciated. I was just trying to understand where the problem is.

I went about the DD installation by using existing bezels and splicing two halves together.
My frame holds the bezel in place along with the two original screws. The frame goes in last and is screwed into steel plates mounted above the frame.
I have made two versions of the DD install, one with the buttons in the armrest which keeps the modified ashtray, lighter and the passenger seat belt light as they were and a one-piece bezel with the buttons in it. The passenger seat belt light and lighter are relocated to the gear shift module, this is my favoured design and the one I shall use when finally painted.
Details are in the following link. CLICK

I've come to fit mine today, but it doesn't sit right. The mould with heated seats switches etc doesnt look correct on one side.

Did you have any issues with fitment?

I'm not a happy camper.

I have this bezel kit sitting on the shelf awaiting install but every picture I see of ones that have been installed have that bad fit at the bottom. I don’t think I could stand to look at that every time I drive the car. Oh well, I’ve probably spent $300 on worse things, but not lately.

I've sent the company a message on Facebook with a little video of the problem.

It needs quite a bit shaving off one side to make it fit flush and allow the main section to fit.

I'll see what they say.

I wouldn't hold my breath, looks like a 'trimming' (a period at the end of the sentence) is what is needed here. I don't see them scrapping the current production run/design, yet. Doesn't hurt to see what they say though! Good luck!

Any update on the way this bezel fits?

After many messages and videos they agreed it wasn't right.

They said they would send me another one, this was on the 28th of October. Hopefully it'll arrive soon.

Have they made a modification to make it fit better?

Has anyone ever gotten any info about the fit? I went to their website right after my last post requested info but never got a reply. They are on Facebook but there are no recent posts. I would like to install the parts but would want a better fit.

I still haven't had my replacement.

I've asked on Facebook if it's been sent and I've had no reply.

Mine fits like it should. I didn't have any fitment issues whatsoever. I talked with Ali a coupe of weeks ago and the reason he might not be getting back to anyone is his city had a 8.1 earthquake hit it and it destroyed his condos a long with a lot of the city. He was relocating when I talked with him but he said it was hell as the city was flooded and people were trying to get out of the city. I'll call tomorrow and see if I can get ahold of him. Him and I are good friends and I talked with him at least twice a week for months. When I didn't hear from him for a month and then saw on the news what had happened I got worried. Luckily I eventually got ahold of him. I can only imagine how hard it is to move when all your stuff is either trapped or god knows what else. Like I said though I'll call tomorrow and see if I can get ahold of him and let him know to check in over here. Thats the best I can do.
