I added an Eclipse CD5415

Great sound! Sirius ready and plays MP3s.

Strange, you're the second one I read from that the stock radio were low at volume. Mine can get very loud with still clear sound. I'm happy with it. Only thing I'm missing is mp3 compatibility and maybe a better frequency-separating filter. IMO to much low sound gets to the mid-range speakers. But otherwise quite good device as a factory radio.

I thought the factory system kicks as*. Just a little to much bass to the mids but overall I give it an A.

I also agree, I think the factory stereo sounds pretty good. Overall I give it a B. I am very particular too. I do think the clarity between the mids and bass could be tighter.

I think something is wrong if your stereo does not get loud. I usually listen at +15 and that is pretty loud.

you can change out the headunit pretty easily and integrate it with the stock amp, speakers, etc. just make sure you get the wiring harness, Scosche VW01; and the antenna adapter, Metra 40-EU10. and i use the pre-outs that the new headunit comes with, not its speaker outputs.

Look at the ALPINE CDA-9820XM w/ Terks X Micro Satellite Antenna.

Unit is silver w/ built in XM tuner good bang for the buck.

Good Luck,
