Default Android Auto

Hi all,

I recently bought a Kenwood DMX9707S for my 05 XF. I was hoping to use the maps on android auto in place of a navigation system. I've got the unit hooked up and sound is working. My phone automatically connects when I turn on the car and plays my music over bluetooth. But when I select android auto it either sits on a "processing" screen or says I need to engage the parking brake. I've tried connecting the light green wire to the parking brake and I've tried using a bypass relay, but I can't get this to work. Local shops are backed up and can't get me in for over a month. I've looked at other posts in this section, but I didn't see any mention of android auto.

Does anyone have any experience setting up android auto with a XF?

On my Kenwood head unit I just earthed the green wire so the screen would play videos, never used it but the wire begged me to attach it to something. I do not think this helps you but ......

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried grounding to various things over the week. Splicing the parking wire into the black wire. Holding it to a screw with electrical tape. Even soldering it to a ground point behind the radio. None of it worked. From what I've read online, it looks like the head unit is looking for a "pulse" of some sort, which is what lead me to believe the relay was necessary. I followed the instructions with the relay, but no luck.
