Default Speaker repair/replacement

Hi guys!

So it looks like speakers are out in my crossfire. The subs behind the seat have been out for a long time and now I believe the driver side speakers or at least one of them isn't working either. Soon it will be quiet in the Crossfire LOL.

I have no experience with wiring speakers etc. What would be the best course of action? Can they be repaired/replaced? How much would that cost me and where would I take the car to have this done?
Is it a relatively easy DIY?

Thanks for all tips and info on this.

Nick

Im not a real fan of having someone else do my stereo work but with that said chain store wise bestbuy is your best bet. I would just go in and let them recommend speakers and buy from them and let them install it if you are not into doing it yourself.

Its the least painful alternative.

There are quite a few howtos on the site here if you want to do it yourself.

Speakers don't usually break but the foam surround that suspends the speaker cone disintegrates . You repair the rear subs with this kit from Ebay $24 for 2 speakers .

I believe door speakers are infinity , this kit may work but verify !

here' a how to video for speaker repair

how to remove rear subs

if all else fails check this site out https://www.crutchfield.com/S-d4hwie...crossfire.html

I just repaired the rear subwoofers behind the seat with a kit from Springfield Speaker Repair ... price was $24 ... instructions were clear and easy to follow ... very happy with the results

my 2 cents ... I would not let a chain store remove and install these speakers due to the process of getting to them ... it's not hard to do but there is a process to follow ... this is a very doable DIY project
