Default Performance Chip

Has anyone (In Australia) installed a performance chip, if so has it made an improvement overall, or can anyone suggest how I may get a little more poke out of my 6 speed roadster.

Cheers

The NW CAI was my first mod after good rubber and I have been very happy with it.

You might also want to do searches for "ECU tune" and "sprint booster."

If you are talking about those cheap "performance" chips, they don't work.

i have NW CIA. it give you 5-6 HP...20 is not really an acceptable figure to be quoting. very misleading. MAYBE if you have stage 1 injectors, throttle body and a ECU tune, then you can get the most out of it.

as for the chip...there is one company is oz that will do it, or you can send it to tvt in the states. that would be my recomendation.

anyway...search funtion always works a treat.

you will get atleast another 10 percent if you do the chip...again...i would go with TVT, they know what they are doing...

aTVT also do the following kits:

XFIRE 250
XFIRE 265
XFIRE 300

I have enquired into a chip from "Powerchip" in Melbourne at a cost of $1290 for the chip, dont really want to spend this sort of money. I have a flow through exhaust system on my car and had 2 of the Cats removed. i found that it has better performance and much throatier sound like it should.

Thats about the right money. Cut the cats as well....
Wayne has built chips for me for years and custom built one to go with my Cams and exhaust and CAI. I run 100 Octane up to 107 for racing and have picked up significant power advantages.
