Any other Aussie Xfire owners modding their cars?
Hi everyone,
I've owned my xfire now for around 6 months. My mate runs the local car show in Town, entered only to support him and came runner up best modern car. Lost to a VE commodore that looked like the bat mobile.
So I decided to turn my car into a street legal show car.
As most xfire owners in Oz know mostly everything needs to be imported from the states. Wanted to know if anyone has found a few places here that stock parts for the car. As well as after market mods.
Living in QLD but being from Sydney, I source most of my stuff through Autobarn, Bluewiremotorsport and Concord customs.
So far I've got HID installed, new gear **** and Billet grills.
Angel eyes and a RFID keyless entry and push button ignition system will be installed shortly.
I'm thinking suicide doors then wheels new brakes calipers and air suspension to round it out.
I'm also looking for new front headlights if any one knows where a good set are hiding.
Cheers
James

Hi I'm from aus too that sounds good man hope it all goes well I have not focused much on the looks / interior but if you need to do the engine bay you may wanna look into the dual cold air intake from needswings google it and it will come up also the engine cover mercedes those to combined look really well plus the hp add and sweet intake whistle!
Cheers mate,
The DCAI and 74mm throttle are part of the performance upgrade i'm planning. Plus a sprint booster. I admit I know Jack **** about cars but that looked like a good place to start.
Which state you from mate?

My advice is get to know who is worth dealing with in the US, I have always found our American Cousins superb to deal with, very honest, sincere and trustworthy.. Now with the good exchange rate, it is very feasible owning a Crossfire. Rob, from Needswings is a great place to start.. He comes on this forum and is great to deal with..
Cheers mate,
I agree with you. Seem like awesome people willing to help us out. But then again Australians just rock out with awesomeness. So far ebay has been the best place to find body panels. Needswings for performance parts and a few places in country for electronic things. Blue wire motor sports and autoloc having the best stuff. Just hate all the running around for parts. 4 different places to round out a trim kit.

Nice man that will look tuff and has a lot of kick with the sprint booster! I'm from Vic near melb , also I forgot to mention I got my dashes/ interior done with carbon fibre the kits on eBay for around 150$ it looks pretty nice and sticks on really well check it out
