rear track
rear track
Could any kind crossfire owner measure the rear wheel track on their crossfire? Why do I want this measurement when its in the owners manual as 1502mm. Reason, my car is fitted with 20 inch wheels with a 35mm offset on all wheels, the front offset is ok as it is 35mm, the rear is 22mm , so I should have a rear wheel track of 1476 but I don't, I have 1460mm, this in Australia is an un-road worthy vehicle. (does not comply with Australian design rule) So why is this so?? is the owners manual miss printed? has the vehicle been tampered with? Ah just fit a spacer to make up the discrepancy, again it does not comply with ADRs and if discovered no insurance will be due , the vehicle would be taken off the road and a lengthy police check would follow ( the track at 1476does comply with ADR) thanks Saltiga
Re: rear track
My owners manual on page 219 , front track 58.8in (1493mm), rear track, 59.1in (1502mm), my actual measurement for the front is 58.6in ( 1488mm) probably add another 1/8in (3mm) for toe in, this is reasonably good and is very close to the manual. The rear with 22mm offset is 58.5 (1486mm) , 57.5in (1460mm) with35mm offset. What does other owners manual give? Is it usual that the same vehicle can vary this much? Saltiga
