its so0 quiet here in the oz section... but anyways, a quick update for those interested; first in this thursday is a needswings 178 asp/psk pulley kit , a supercharger oil change, a new steering damper and fuel filter .
next up is a groundcontrol /koni adjustable suspension system,4 rda slotted dimpled rotors and ebc redstuff ceramic pads. then ,probly a eurocharged remote tune or a dyno tune if i can find somewhere on the goldcoast or brissie to do it right.
oh yes and a full trans flush , i have it on good authority that this should be done every 80k kms. they are not sealed for life!
likewise the steering lock nut needs adjusting every 80kkms , its years since i had anything but rack and pinion steering but this brings back memories
any ideas on good places to do the work in brissie or on the GC ?

Ok, i picked up the beast this morning with its Needswings ASP/PSK pulley kit installed and the SC oil changed ,
Wow what a difference , just what it needed MOre POwer !! haha , I love it .
The new steering stabilizer has really sorted the steering out too , steering feels so good now.
Just waiting for the Groundcontrol /Koni suspension to arrive from needswings and then that goes in along with new dimpled slotted rotors and EBC red stuff pads .
Yeeha !!
Just spent a couple more hours just tootling around getting a feel for it , the extra Torque at low rpm is very evident, pushes really well in tall gears , a really nice improvement.
i rekon these cars should have come this way!
That thread about the steering dampner is spot on, im glad i read it. steering is great now, i must ask the mechanics if they did adjust the lock nut or not , feels like they did but ?, i will ask em.
I love this forum , so much great info and combined experience on these awesome cars .
the Needswing Pulley kit was US$1100 + freight , imo it was well worth it . i havnt stopped smiling driving it.
btw, I could not source the supercharger oil locally so i got that from needswings too.
Today successfully reglued the rear window to the rag top, looks good and wont leak !
it was not a hard job, just a bit fiddly .
this forum helped alot again !
Ok , I have now found a fantastic authorised MB service shop only 250kms away too , thats local here ;-),
They really Know their stuff sooo now shes done 83k kms here is what they did:
Full Tranmission flush .
12 new spark plugs
fuel filter
diff oil change
4 new dimpled slotted EBC Rotors and EBC redstuff pads, plus some noice red mgp alloy caliper covers ;-)
4 new tyres - Pirelli Pzeros , 235/4018 and 275/35/19.
The drive home (35c top down ) was awesome, the upsized tyres have improved the ride and steering some
but the Groundcontrol/koni suspension kit is almost here from NW , its getting fitted next week.
hope its as big a success as the NW ASP/PSK 178mm crank pulley kit was .
.
i will post some pics soon.

Hi Dave just curious as to who you used for the service as I am on the Sunshine Coast and am keen to find someone who knows their stuff. Hoped that maybe the 250kms was north of Brisbane and in my direction.
BTW dave, its 178 built lol. whats the differnce like with the pu;;ey upgrade, can you really notice the difference?
Nope , its true lol, only were 78 srt-6 Roadsters were built in RHD in 05.
re the pulley upgrade , Yes, i can really notice the difference , i talked about that in one of my posts plus there are numerous others . if you want more power it is certainly worth doing!
