In ~ 2009, I did a number of things under the bonnet (?) and two were:

Clean the intake and throttle body
Install the catch can (I designed/built my own)

At that time, I used a borescope to look around inside the intake manifold. It was pretty disgusting, as expected.

In ~ 2014, I installed a 74 mm TB. Again, I looked around inside the intake mani.

Clean as a whistle! The lack of oil in the intake tract seemed to have actually scoured the old gook from the visible surfaces.

IMHO, ALL vehicles should have these installed.

If one has the time/ability, making your own makes it quite economical.

Christ, there's no moving parts, after all.....

There are pictures of the innards of mine somewhere in the "old" gallery.

Thanks Max, That is good to know , my ccan went in about 8,000 miles ago , at the time i thought maybe i should put some intake cleaner thru but didnt.
I have drained the can once , after about 5k miles, an only 40-50mil came out, correction i just noticed the container still in the shed ,it had 25mil in it.

the motor just seems to run better and better these days so it must of self cleaned like yours. it makes sense .
i am sure the cooler weather here helps .

btw,
Is it your car that has that good looking cover over the radiator support and tops of the head
lights?
Thanks !
dave

Looks good. Black on black.
I like my 19x10.5 & 18x8.5 silver wheels on my ssb.

I see one big problem though

[QUOTE=daveesrt6;889088]HeyHey

I love the driving the roads around here but the stone chips are killing me so i gave in and bought:
a Bra ! , my gurls 1st, shes only 11 ! -

Its a Mopar part i got from the US . took a week to get here .
Its fits well too i have put some clear protection film on the paint in some spots where it might rub.

New wheels on last week , Mandrus Wilhelms 20x10 and 19x8.5 , Kumho Ku39s

Life is Good ......

Especially with a nice Crossfire aka Crossie , aka XF ,aka\holyshit !!

Cmon ozzies just buy one while you can

Here is my little Beast :

Nice ride! What offsets are on your wheels. And what series tire are you running. I just bought the same set up with 25 and 28 offsets.

The Mopar"Bra "
Hmm ,Ok it did fit better than in those first pics , it was new then and i didnt put it on quite perfectly.
Now, lol, i dont use it . It is a PITA , ya cant get it wet blah blah , and it can and does mark the paint.
Oh Well , stone chips happen . I touch them up and they arnt very obvious.
I can see me getting the front cover and hood/bonnet repainted at some point.
