When using the key in the door lock, drivers right hand side Australian delivered Crossfire coupe it will not unlock or lock passenger door and trunk lid, is this normal or is there a fault.

Have a similar problem, key locks and unlocks driver's door only. With key on does the console switch lock and unlock all ? If so we have the same issue. Has anyone worked on the SKREEM ?

My first thought was wrong. I just checked on my limited and using the metal key does lock all the other doors as well as unlock.

When were the batteries changed in your fob(s)?
Some of the 2004 Crossfires were manufactured in 2003, 20 years ago.....

no one has worked on SKREEM, with key on the console switch won’t lock or unlock anything. When the top of the console switch is pressed, you hear the air pump operate, but nothing happens, when pressing the bottom of the switch, nothing happens. Have taken door lock mechanism out and there are no electrical wires going to it. So there is no way the key is able to unlock the other door, trunk. ( have seen on a YouTube video on a left hand drive model that it has a electrical wire connection) Maybe the low volume RHD model’s weren’t wired up for it? Anyone have any thoughts? Cheers Frank

My car (10/03) locks and unlocks all with the console switch only, key just locks/unlocks the driver's door. Fob has new batteries and is transmitting on 300-320MHz. Tried resetting many times, suspect SKREEM has lost its mind, chipless key starts car. May just add a second RKE set. No idea what a PO has done.

If can hear pump run but nothing happens I would suspect a broken air line or valve,

Your car is normal. I have two RHD Crossfires. The keyfob buttons lock/unlock everything and if I use the key in the Drivers door, it only locks/unlocks that door.

Seems odd that you can only lock the whole car with the fob. Am tempted to just wire a cheap RKE to the console switch. or put a lock button in the wheel well.

thanks for that, talked to a few Mercedes workshops and they said it’s normal as well, central locking/ key lock wasn’t wired up for RHD models! Have put it all back together, door an boot trim, lots of hours wasted for nothing!!!

Per zip439, I just checked the door locks on my 2007 Crossfire Coupe (LHD). When I push the key fob unlock 1x, the DS door unlocks. When I push the key fob unlock a 2nd time, the PS door & hatch unlock. When I push the key fob LOCK button 1x, both doors & the hatch lock.

When I unlock the DS door using the manual key, I rotate towards the front of the car, and both doors & the hatch unlock. When I rotate the key towards the rear of the car, both doors & the hatch lock.

Thanks for that, but I have since found out that when they converted them to RHD they didn’t swap out the electronics from left to right to operate the air pump. It wasn’t worth the expense for the low volume of RHD units, the same goes for the Merc R170 which the Crossfire is based on, regards Franco
