Fuel Capacity
I was running low on gas last night and as I approached the gas station to fill up the low fuel lamp came on.
It took exactly 50 liters, which more or less confirmed that the tank holds 60 liters total, leaving me with 10 liters reserve rather than the 8 liters stated in the Owners Manual.
50 liters = 13.2 US gallon = 11 Imperial gallon.
60 liters = 15.8 US gallon = 13.2 Imperial gallon.
So the reserve can be safely said to be about 2 gallons (8 liters)
Info that might be useful one day.

Right on the money. Once I coasted into the station and actually put 15.8 US gallons in the tank. I figured we had a 16 US gallon tank and I was just lucky.
Luckier than I figured.
(So it's actually a tank capacity measured in metric liters. How about that, those clever Germans.)

You were lucky alright, I pushed a car up a slight slope for a few hundred yards when I ran out once, when I got there they had just closed. I had seen the lights on when I started pushing, boy was I pi$$ed ......... and tired.

How many kms or miles are you guys getting to a tank ? The reason I ask is my tank was filled before I picked up the car and now the needle is hovering just above the red section/light coming on but has stayed there for at least 75 kms/46 miles without budging so I'm starting to think the gauge may be faulty. Anyway, I'm gonna put fuel in now rather than risk running out but would like to know if my concern was justified. I'm currently at 446 kms/277 miles.
Please don't lecture me on the pitfalls of running the car so low on fuel I only do it on my first tank of gas so as to find out my range/tank.

If it was full your mileage would be much better than what you have now. Around town you should be in the low 20mpg range at least. On a long highway run I did manage 32mpg the one time I checked it in my NA.
I coasted down the mountain to a gas station Dave...15.8 is very accurate. Mind you I didn't run out, as I coasted right about 8 miles before seeing a light,, hoping it was a gas station...lol Boy, was I nervous. Phone dead, walkytalky dead, and at least 8 XF's in front of me with no way to tell them I might need a ride...lol...we made it, and put in 15.8 gallons, but it was still running, but I bet not for long...
Went to the gas station last night and put just over 60L in. I must have horseshoes up my butt because I was going to drive it to dinner first and that was 20km away.
Guess it's safe to say my gauge or sender is faulty. I'll be filling at 400kms from now on.
