May GTG/Cruise?
I think that leaves Tony at The Marriot & everybody else that's staying over at The Holiday Inn Express. Is that right? The two hotels are almost next door to each other.
Now, for our meeting on Saturday morning, I need a little more information.
Gather at St Jacobs Village (parking lot beside the river at The Silos)

Gaia and I will meet everyone at the Holiday Inn Express, Sat morning.....and yes Chris, I will not be operating the FRS Radio....
I think everyone should bring and use a radio. I have been on many cruises and the best ones have used radios. The first car and the last car need to be able to communicate. There has to be no chit chat and they are only used to keep the group together. If you lead a group of cars into a town where people don't know the route the leader needs to say when we get to the red light we are turning. If all the cars don't make it through the light the last car can tell the leader to find a spot to wait on everyone. People driving alone can just keep the radio on the seat and still know what the group is doing. If someone needs a bathroom stop or has car trouble the group doesn't run away and leave someone stranded in a strange town. They should not be used like cell phones where people just talk, but they really help to keep the group together.

Wayne just dropped out..his mother is not doing well..so if any one wants to volunteer to be last car we have an opening. I'm pretty sure I know where I'll be in the line-up, and if we all have radios then it doesn't really matter who brings up the rear.
Who's actually in town on Friday night? There's a restaurant just a short walk from the hotels so we could all just gather there for a bite and socialize.

Hey Chris - Suzanne & I are there Friday night. What restaurant do you have in mind? I can also pull up the rear if you like.
Maybe send out personal emails on this too - in case not everyone sees this on the forum.

Emails will be going out in the next day or so with final arrangements.

Hey Gary - Where are you coming from? I'm really hoping that we don't have to worry about snow. This isn't Winnipeg or something like it.
Now, not wanting to hijack the thread, but I took a look at your info., Gary, and it led me to your promotions business. It will be a pleasure to meet with you, but you're not going to try to sell me a couple of your denim Crossfire shirts, are you? Men's size large and women's small? With roadsters on them? Or coffee mugs with the 2007 yellow roadster? Are you? Please?[/QUOTE
Sorry for responding so late! I'll see if there are any mugs with yellow roadsters on them. I do have shirts but no denim if I remember right. I stopped doing the mugs in 08-09 as well as the embroidery. Can't take any orders now but I'll pull the stuff out and see what's there and let you know.

Hi, Chris! It looks right now as if I can attend the Saturday portion of the cruise. I won't be staying overnight, but would like to have Sat. Night dinner with the crew! ML will not be attending unless there is a station wagon version of the Crossfire that can hold a golden retriever or two.
I'll likely motor out behind Norm. Not sure, but Cindy was talking about potentially the Saturday too.
See you all then!
John

Let's make this easy for everybody and make the gathering spot for both days the Holiday Inn Express at 9:00AM.
Exactly which Holiday Inn
Holiday Inn Express, Waterloo/St.Jacobs
14 Benjamin Road
Waterloo, Ontario N2J 2V9
Hey John....I believe you and Norm are heading in together? Want to meet me at the Timmies #401 & #6 on the way there?
We could then all arrive together?
That sounds good to me, Tony. I'll send you a private email and coordinate cell #'s and timing. I think that the weather is going to (by and large), cooperate!
For anyone that wants to know where we're going I've provided links to Google Maps below.
You can ignore quite a few of the waypoints I had to include to force Google to go where I wanted to go rather than the boring default "recommended" route that Google kicked out initially.
Saturday (includes route from hotel to dinner)
