The Calgary Connection
Re: The Calgary Connection
Just moved out to Calgary from Vancouver 2 months ago...
Were any of you at the Good Life Fitness at Canyon Meadows yesterday morning? There were 5 (yes I said 5) Crossfires in a row... all different colors!
I have never seen 2 crossfires in one location let alone 5!
Is there any sort of Crossfire enthusiasts club out here?

Re: The Calgary Connection
I actually don't drive my car in the winter... lol, I don't even drive it in the rain... I only put about 4,500 kms on it this year and half of those were driving from Vancouver to Calgary and back in the summer... She is in storage now and probably won't see the day of light again until April or May. I do know Walmart sells an excellent tire which is highly recommended, may be worth a look... It's the Dunlop Gaspic DS-1 Winter/ICE tire. I will be putting these on my Honda this week.

Re: The Calgary Connection
My car came complete with all season tires and with ESP and wet/winter driving selection button. I do not have any problems as the car handles very well in slippery conditions. If the roads are in poor winter driving conditions my Crossfire stays in the garage and out comes my Honda Civic. I will drive the Crossfire in the winter as our city roads are mostly clear due the the warm Chinook (Snow Eater) Winds we have in Calgary which can raise the temperature as much as 80F in 24 hours. (-30F to +50F).
Re: The Calgary Connection
Hi Guy's I am having a hard time finding some winter tires for the crossfire I have some tire shops looking for me also but not having much luck may have to order out of the USA.
Can anybody help or can I find a similar size that will fit OK. 19" are a pain to match.
I won't be driving all the time in winter but if I have to I need good winters or maybe all seasons that have good grip (if I have too).
I know this issue as been rehashed over a over but in canada its not easy to find.
Wish I was there to seen the 5 xfire in a row I would have been #6.

Re: The Calgary Connection
Hey guys . . . just new to the forum, but have had my crossfire for a year and a half - 2004 Alabaster Limited Coupe, 6speed . . . pictures are in my gallery. Probably some have seen my convertible - the big ole 300HURST . . . but have sold it to get the Crossfire. . . . perhaps when spring hits we should all head down to the cruise nite at A&W/Home Depot on McLeod across from Chinook Center . . . .
