Carlisle 2008
Re: Carlisle 2008
Just got home. I had a great time. It was great finally meeting some of the east coast members, even if you have a funny accent. Thanks to all who attended. I hope more make it next year. These group gatherings are absolutely a great time. Hopefully some of you will consider Woodward in August, just bring plenty of socks to blow your nose.
Mike, thanks for your hospitality. Tbird and Sterling, thanks for the banner and your support toward the club. It was great meeting you. Crispy, thanks for the sock story. Oh, btw don't go out drinking with ICHON. He does'nt know how to get back to the hotel when he drinks.
Thanks to all of you for your friendship.
LYG,
FP

it was very nice to get to meet some of you. I wish I could have found some more time to hang out.
I should be a crossfire salesman I think I talked 5 people into buying one.
I also directed many people I talked to to this fine group of people we call the crossfire fourm.
See you guys (and gals) next year

Re: Carlisle 2008
I'm so jealous. I wish I could have attended. Unfortunately, my job has me swamped in the summer which causes me to miss many a car show, including all but 1 Carlisle All-Ford event over the past 4 years. (I know, no big loss, they are only Fords)
I have taken my 73 Cougar to the Carlisle All-Ford event 6 times since 1999 (4 Firsts - 2 Seconds ) . Carlisle is a great event that allows you to meet some great car people. Sounds like Crossfire gang didn't disappoint.
Did anyone pick up any Crossfire related parts or memorabilia? My guess would be that there would be slim pickings for Crossfire things. I know it was never easy finding 71-73 Cougar stuff. However, I did manage to find a model kit and a few sales brochures.
I sure hope that I get a chance to go to Carlisle in 2009.

Crispy tells it best, so I'll leave that story to him.
Mike: I have your chair that you left with FP, since he didn't stop by your place on the way back. So I guess that means we have to plan a Western PA / North East Ohio GTG real soon so I can give it to you. Darn, another GTG.

The best part was the poor husbands reaction to what his wife just said, he was about to put some food into his mouth when he just put the fork back down looks over to his wife and shakes his head. I would have loved to have been there when he explained to her that they were not using the socks to blow their noses.

You're right we won, and of course Ichon won 1st again that makes it 4 years in a row, I'm starting to think he is paying someone off.
Just kidding buddy you deserve it, not just for your car but for who you are.

What a great event. What a great group of people and Crossfire lovers. No one suffered heat stroke. Mike's (the "old" Mike that is) hair is as curly as ever. Dinner was a blast and Mrs. Crispino is a saint. Love ya Tony. JUST IN......TUBE SOCKS ARE MAKING A HUGE COME BACK IN LONG ISLAND, NY. Outstanding pictures you guys. And you havent lived until you get lost with FP after leaving a dance club.
Remember everyone that attended this year must bring another Crossfire owner next year.
P.S. Holiday Inn Express on Rte 11 will offer us a discount if we have 20 or more bookings. It's less than 5 miles from the Fairgrounds.

A big THANKS!! to Tony and FP for holding this show together. Sounds like everyone made it home ok and all the cars are still running . . . lol. It was nice to see everyone again and meet some new faces. We had a great time and can't wait until next year. Tom, thanks for all the Pics. I'll post a few of ours tonight.
TONY, Step away from the socks . . .

Not only did I have a great time with you all, but I felt very comfortable with everyone, including the gay couples that were there (not that there's anything wrong with that)

I'm quoting my post only because I left out one important statement.
Not only did I have a great time with you all, but I felt very comfortable with everyone, including the gay couples that were there (not that there's anything wrong with that)
He's just mad he was all alone. Even jilted by his male friends!
