hello, im trying to find out whos all makeing the trip with me down to carlisle.

Id like to all get togather and ride out.. whos with me....

 

I'll be heading to Carlisle from Michigan along with Ann/Gary, Lisa and Judy. I think at this point we'll leave on Thursday and drive 1/2 way then continue to Carlisle on Friday. We met up with the Illinois group in Toledo at the Ohio turnpike. You and anyone else who wants to join are group are more than welcome. I think we ended up with 8 x-fires in the group last year.

 

I plan on leaving Thursday around 1pm cst and meeting Michigan folks around Toledo, Ohio late afternoon.
Location still to be determined

 

do we have any ideal what time we may leave thursday so i can take off of work..

 

ok guys with just over a month to carlisle, id like to get more firm numbesr or xfires that will be leaveing the mi area and makeing the trip down to carlisle.. from what i understand most are leaveing mi on thursday and driveing half the way. If this is true idk like to know what is the plans for sleep that night..

I"m planning to arrive near Toledo, Ohio aronud 5-6pm est.
Join the folks from Michigan and continue about 2 hours/30 minutes (140 miles) further then find a cheap room and stop for the night near Akron, Ohio.
Driving Directions from Aurora, Illinois to Toledo, Ohio on to Akron, Ohio

Then leave Friday morning from there and travel 5 hours (294 miles) to arrive at Carlisle

How does this plan sound to you guys and gals in Michigan ??

 

sounds like a plan, just because i live 45 min from toledo so that works out with me.. what about every one else..

i love cheap hotels.

 

How difficult would it be to meet up at this interchange on the Ohio Turnpike ??

 

how far in to ohio is the turnpike.. and the price of the hotel being $48 is great..

I can't imagine the EconoLodge being "no vacancy" and I want to leave our options open anyway.

 

is this stilll the plan. on the day i will have to get with some one to find out were, were staying for sure.. i get out of school at 7 so i will not be able to make it to ohio till about 8.. i will then drive the 2 hours to the motel as planed

Our plan at this point is IF Gary gets the day off work we will leave early tol meet up with Pat and Frank. It's the ladies prerogative guys, we want to wander at a slow easy pace. We'll defiantly be at the Thursday night hotel either way, just not sure of the timing now enough to commit

I will be heading directly to the airport in Harrisburg, Pa. before going to the hotel in Carlisle.
I'm picking up InfernoRedXfire who is flying in from Texas and arriving at 1:25pm
