Default Cruisin the Coast

I have just been down to Biloxi/Gulfport, where I used to live, on business, and was lucky enough to see the first Cars arriving for the Annual "Cruisin the Coast" Classic Car Show. Have not kept up to date with the number of Cars that now attend, since I moved to Houston some 3 years ago, but there used to be approx 6000 Cars at times, which used to attend this event over the weekend. Many of the cars are breathtakingly beautiful, and are required to Cruise up and down the coast for a specified number of miles to qualify for the event, which I do believe, culminates in Prizes for the Best presented Cars. (No Trailer Queens) There are Cars from all the Bygone eras to the present day Customizations. Many of the Hotels, Boarding Houses, Etc. in the area are booked up a year in advance. Have any Forum Members visited the area during this event ????
Don't know if any Crossfires attend this event, as when I lived in the area, Crossfires were then a thing of the future. Would be Great if sometime in future years, we could get an impressive number of Crossfires there, if just to publicize our enthusiasm for our Cars. This year the event takes place the weekend of the 7th October, so if your enthusiasm is pricked by this post, you still have time to get there for next weekend. There will still be Hotels rooms to be had, within say 10 miles. The event takes place from early morning, to late at night over 3-4 days, and all the Businesses in the area wlecome the cars. The Casinos usually have designated times for the Cars to Visit their parking lots. The cars end up being spread all over the area, due to their vast numbers. This MUST be one of the Premier Car Events in the Country.

Terry;
I went a few years ago, had a great time. I was thinking of going this year .but they changed the rules and from what I read sounded like they di not want cars displayed that were not at least 20 years old.
