Carlisle Bummer
I had hoped to see all the guys at Carlisle to see what they have done and also for them to see some of the unique things that I have done. Imagine my surprise when I got to the hotel and they told me that my reservation had been cancelled. Soooo, I thought that I would go to the show and maybe find some one who would share a room. The man at the gate sent me to the east end where he said the Xfires would be. I must have been early, I didn't see any, it was around 1 PM. Anyway after driving around a very long time, I hadn't seen a single event staff to give me some clue where I was to park. I can't imagine an event of this size without a single event staff near the showfield, not one. And all the vendors with crap that in no way related to cars, like a state fair. I found the nearest exit and headed home. I did pass a black SRT6 and yellow limited roadster on rte 11 apparently headed for the show. I hope those that did attend had a better experience than I did, I don't think that I would ever go back since the Carlisle sponsored Bloomsburg event is much nicer, the grounds are flat as a pool table, there are only food and car stuff vendors and it's 1 mile off of Rte 80, no traffic to contend with and the local club who cosponsors has personnel at each corner to help.
Jim I'm sorry for the bad experience, the main show day is tomorrow not to many show up at the fairgrounds on Friday, but they still should have staff there to help out. As far as the hotel were you staying at the Hampton Inn Harrisburg-West?

Can you tell us a little more about Bloomsburg? Would all the Chrysler's get to park together or do you just park someplace in the order you arrive? Sorry you had a bad time at Carlisle. It was a great show but most of us didn't arrive until Saturday.
I really missed being there but it wasn't a total loss, I found a local show to attend on Sunday and took first in my class. As for Bloomsburg, right now it's hard to say. Last year was the first for this to be sponsored by Carlisle and it was on short notice so it was not organized as an awarded event and it was park as you wanted, there is quite a bit of room. This year will tell me more about how it will be conducted. I know the officers of the Dream Machine Motor Club who are cosponsors, I can find out if a block could be reserved for Xfires or all Chryslers and will let you know.
