Chrysler Nationals Carlisle PA Jul 11 - Jul 13, 2014
The crowds write down the entry # of the cars that impress them the most. Then the Carlisle Officials add up the results.
Congrats to all the winners.
That's correct Mike. When will you be back?
It was really great to meet all the nice people at Carlisle, now I can put some faces with their names. I would love to make the Dragon next year to meet some more of these fanatics. Congrats to all who won something. My only negative comment would be that I think that a show this size should have professional judging, that way it's not a popularity contest. I saw more than a few classes where the best cars didn't win and I say this as someone who has judged cars and knows the criteria but saying that, I had a great time and will return next year.

It was great meeting you too. Glad you were able to make it. I understand your point about judging but my approach to car shows now days is to go for the be with good friends, car enthusiasts, look for ideas for my own ride and forget about awards. I frankly don't really care about the awards. If I did, I suppose I would try a lot hard to make a plan to win them. For me, it's never about the awards. If by some freak of circumstance I were to be recognized, that's great. Otherwise, I more interested in the drive getting there, the fun to be had with the gang, and the new friends I can make. For these reasons, I attend way less car shows and way more casual cruise ins and GTG's. Hope to see you at our Maryland show if you can make it. It's shaping up to be a good one.

It has never been about awards for me, I usually look for a good charity, in lieu of that I go for the best food, etc. What I was saying though, if they go to the trouble to give awards I'd like to see the most deserving recognized. It was good to meet you also. Just a little side note, until I saw Dennis' SRT6, I forgot how good they look before modding. For those that didn't notice, I have never seen one so flawless, you would be hard pressed to find a mark on it.
Adam and I would like to thank the great group of people who were at Carlisle. We met great new friends and renewed past friendship. Learned a lot about our cars, and Woody, you blew Adams mind!! Thanks for spending the time with him. COM, thanks for Saturday night, you guys worked hard and do good work! Sorry we didn't get in town in time for dinner with everyone. Next year for sure!! We had a ball and will definitely be back next year!
Tom nice meeting you and Adam, it was a pleasure speaking and having a cigar with you. Look forward to seeing you guys again next year. Just to be clear, Saturday nights food and refreshments CICCI needs to be thanked for and COM needs to be thanked for helping by picking up half of the cost of the pizzas. Thank you to both clubs, great time.
I know some people may be upset or think I registered under the wrong class to win an award I just wanted to post my receipt showing I registered in the correct class. trust me I will be checking my window sticker next year to make sure it has the proper class on it. I hope this clears everything up.
I had a great time meeting old and new friends, I can't wait until next year and Chas watch out once they put me in the class I registered in.

Judy and I want to thank everyone or welcoming us to the group this past weekend at Carlisle. Being relatively new to owning our Crossfire this was new to us and we couldn't have found a nicer more welcoming group of people to call our friends. We are already talking about attending next years event and we are going to see if we can find some other Crossfire owners in western Pa and see if we can get something started here. We will see everyone next year for the 2015 Carlisle event.

Dave, I don't think any of the conversation is directed at your circumstance. I think it's shows in general, and the event in general for all the other cars in the vast showfield. I wish the event had some night time viewing too. Your car would have won hands down for the lights display.

Jay, thanks for coming out. It was nice to meet you and Judy. Congrats on "placing" at your very 1st Carlisle Show. Looking forward to breaking bread again with you and Judy at next year's event. By the way, You're only 2 hrs away from the Crossfires of Maryland's 3rd Annual Car Show at Linganore Winery, Mt. Airy MD on August 9th. I'm just saying....why wait til next year. LOL.

No worries David. They put you in the "give me mercy category". LOL. Four 2nd Place finishes in four straight years to the same car has to be brutal. Maybe Carlisle was trying to help you. LOL. All joking aside, like Paul said, you're Crossfire deserves an award no matter what category you're placed in. And I cant hold a candle to your car display at night Juerga. And for the record, I'll be ready (again) for you next year. Much love bro.

I would love to attend but that is the same weekend as the Bloomsburg show that Carlisle Events sponsors and it's 6 miles from home.
