NCCA / Hot Import Nights TV Show
I just thought I would let my fellow Crossfire Forum members know that I'll be in Miami this weekend to shoot a pilot for a new TV series that highlights the National Custom Car Association and Hot Import Nights.
Unfortunately there will be no Crossfires, but I'll post some photos of the cars when I return on Monday. Hope you all like to see what other manufacturers are doing to support their product...
POOR, POOR, PITIFUL US!!! THANK YOU DC...

Seriously though, I would like to see a well done documentary filmed about "The Woodward Ave Dream Cruise" in Detroit on the 3rd. Sat. of Aug. If you have never had the chance to see it in person, then you really don't know what your missing. Do you have a any "pull" with some aspiring young movie makers that may like to do a project like that?
I just thought I'd ask now, so they would have plenty of "lead" time to get the ball rolling by Aug.
Give me a few links for more info about the event and I'll take a look to see if it will fit into one of the episodes of the show... I gotta be honest with you, just driving around with other cars is kinda boring to watch on TV... That's really not what this new show is about, it's about the tuner lifestyle and aftermarket performance industry, radical cars and hot babes...

It really is so much more than just a cruise. Even though the steady parade of cars eventually turns into a virtual "grid lock" of classic cars, and sometimes the only thing moving is the people on foot, and the 1/2 a dozen helicopters flying over head the entire 8 to 10 mile stretch that the show takes up. All the major automotive manufactures have huge displays, and their "concept" cars are sometimes cruising up and down Woodward too.
There are usually dozens of individual car shows every couple of miles (even at a cemetery) live entertainment, and every imaginable 2-4-& 6 wheel conveyance you can think of can be seen. What was originally a one day affair, actually has people coming 3 and 4 days early just to start cruising the Woodward.
If you Google "Woodward Ave. Dream Cruise" you'll find all kinds of info. on it. Like I said, if it's out of the realm of possibilities for the new show that you're doing, do you know anybody else that might like to tackle it? I'm sure that you probably have all kinds of "connections" in the "Biz". Maybe somebody you know who has more than just a passing interest in cars?
Thanks Derek...Mike
