Default Crossfire Purchasing Advice

Just joined the site tonight and am already finding a lot of great information.

I test drove an '07 Ltd. Coupe with approx. 2,700 Miles earlier this week.

The Car was an automatic w/out Nav.

Originally asking (dealer) just shy of $19K.

Without much effort they came down to $18K.

I have come across a number of cars via the regular suspect web sites...Auto Trader, Cars, Cars For Sale...(Not Limited to Texas).

Looking primarily for less than 10K Miles on a Limited Coupe, open at this point to Auto or Manual though I have yet to drive a Manual Model.

Were there any changes in these cars from '04 - '08?

With the criteria I have listed, what would be your thougths on price?

Please share your constructive ideas.

All of the model years are pretty much the same. I think there are a few small changes like the glove box & where it says "crossfire" on the rear ('04 is a little different). The reason that dealer came down to 18k with no effort is that he would still be killing you at that price. These cars are great and a super value for the money. If you are serious about buying one you might want to check who is selling their car on this forum. You can sometimes get better deals if you buy in a different part of the country (the car biz hasn't taken as big a hit in Texas).

Good Luck in your search & welcome to the forum!!!

I think that I would pay that price only if it had a full warranty included.

That's a pretty steep $18k for a limited coupe. Don't get me wrong! - once you drive one you won't look back !!...but the SRT model (super charger on it) is running about $20 depending on the miles. I'm thinking more in the 16-17 grand range. The car is no longer a production car. Make your case with the dealership - In time going to be hard to get parts..more then likely Madrases price shipped from Germany. Unless the dealer was to give you FULLY Warranted like Maxcichon stated keep looking.
