SRT6 w/33,000 for < $12,500
This one has been for sale for quite a while on Chicago CL:
2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 ***Save Big***
I called them back in Feb. - haven't run the VIN but he said there was an accident on it.
Decided not to go with an SRT and picked up a really nice N/A Coupe instead.

Sorry didn't scroll down on the pictures, just viewed the first......
That's not an SRT6, it only has the SRT6 wheels, has a Limited/Base front bumper and a retractable spoiler, its mislabled in the ad....

You sure you are looking at the right pictures. Those pictures are definitely an SRT-6. And, looks like it may belong to someone from this forum as it has SRT SIX's grill on it.
You're actually both right...kinda.
It is in fact a SRT and is properly labeled. However, leading from what the OP said about it having been in an accident I can only assume it was a front end collision. The national back order of front SRT bumpers has caused this person to choose to go with a Base/Limited front bumper.
It does however, have the SRT engine, wing, seats, wheels, etc.
It is an SRT, just with its little brother's front chin.

Retractable spoiler? Looks like an SRT spoiler to me.
Suede seats, 200 mph speedo, pretty sure it is or was at one time an SRT.
Probably got a new grill (aftermarket) and bumper as a result of accident.
As I said, I never ran the VIN - I just called and talked to one of the Sales staff who said the low price was due to an accidet on the carfax (he of course said it was a very minor low speed accident - who knows)

I did run the VIN awhile back and the car carries a salvage title do to an accident. It's hard to say how bad the accident was but enough to total out the car, which is not hard to do these days.

I don't know if they used the retail price or current market value, but either way would have been more than $8000 in damage to cause a Salvage title I would think...
it's very easy to total these cars. As some one who has had body work done on another car, I know that people say that the car will look brand new... but REALLY look at the car. You'll notice how the panel seams come together (they should be symmetrical), how they blended the paint from panel to panel (they should match perfectly), are there any scratches/smudges on the interior panel/fabrics where they were removed, do the hinges, doors, hood, and trunk close perfectly, and of course check ALL of the mechanical/electrical features.
On my BMW the rear door doesn't close right and needs to be slammed shut, but everything looks perfect. It's these little things that become obnoxious over time.
My point is that no matter what, once a car is in a major accident it will never be the same, especially if you are meticulous about your car.
